Kate Spade Wallets, Purses and Handbags

I love handbags but I may love wallets that can be placed inside handbags even more. I get to keep my small items like my lipstick and cards inside my wallet, while my larger handbag carries all my larger essentials for the day.

One of my favorite brands is Kate Spade as she has been making stylish and contemporary wallets for decades. They’re leather-constructed so they’re durable. And they’re fashionable and functional as well with zippered pockets and bi-fold compartments that are perfect for mini storage.

Best of all, Kate Spade wallets are affordable yet professional enough for me to use in work settings. Here are some of my favorite Kate Spade wallets and handbags.

Kate Spade Wallets

Kate Spade Cameron St. Lacey Wallet

This is one of the most popular Kate Spade wallets – and for good reason. We love the black and brown tones as they give the wallet an elegant modern design that evokes style and professionalism.

That said, this is Kate Spade and she was known for her forward-thinking and often quirky designs. This Kate Spade wallet comes in over a dozen different colors and designs so choose the one that’s best for you.

As for functionality, it can hold up to 12 cards, has several pockets to help keep you organized, including an interior zipped pocket for holding change, and has space for your cash as well. My favorite Kate Spade wallet by far.

Kate Spade – Cameron Street Adalyn Wallet

This is another popular wallet that is a bit more affordable option. It has room for 4 credit card slots + an ID slot and room for change.

It’s not available in as many color options, but has the same leather construction so it will be just as durable. It is small and compact and perfect for throwing into any full-sized handbag.

It has a zippered pocket for storing change, an ID slot on the back, 4 card slots, and a wallet envelope with snap closure. Cute

This Kate Spade wallet is also similarly designed and is affordable as well at only around $50. It has a gold zipper pocket, 13 credit card slots, and the famous Kate Spade New York plate on the front.

Kate Spade Purses

OK, this technically isn’t a wallet, it’s a purse but I love it so had to include it on this list.

It’s too small to hold larger items like most handbags, but it’s a small enough leather bag that can hold all of your essential items like your phone, makeup, wallet and keys and then some!

It has an adjustable strap, embossed leather, a top zip closure, gold toned hardware, and a front slip pocket.

Kate Spade New York Ina Greta Court Glitter Crossbody Bag

This is a small cute glittery bag (purse) with a 22” adjustable strap. Don’t let the pictures fool you. As noted by many of the 100+ Amazon reviewers, this is a purse so don’t expect to fit more than your essential items.

That said, this mini purse with gold plated hardware and glitter detail is beautiful for a night out and about as it wont weigh you down and will match any outfit.

Kate Spade’s Legacy

Kate Spade’s On Purpose

The Kate Spade brand was launched in 1991 after the late Kate Spade quit her job at a fashion magazine. Though she had worked at the magazine for several years, she had no formal design training or experience in the handbag industry, yet managed to build a business over three decades that was acquired by Neiman Marcus and then sold to Tapestry in 2017 for over 1 billion dollars.

How did she do it? While the Kate Spade brand may not be a luxury brand in the traditional sense like Louis Vuitton or Chanel, Kate Spade pioneered the era of accessible luxury.

She tapped into an audience that wanted to maintain a sense of professionalism, while maintaining a sense of individuality and femininity.

Kate Spade handbags were reasonably priced so that they could appeal to the working woman who wanted a sense of style and, at times, quirkiness, while still owning a durable and functional handbag.

With her practical non-leather, micrograin and grosgrain fabrics, her bags came in a number of shapes and colors from boxy totes to colorful Mini Mouse backpacks.

Though Kate Spade may have left this world too soon, she left behind a legacy that will never be forgotten.
